Can you ever just “set it and forget it” in Nudge

From Sequences, to auto-assigning Cards, to scheduled, repeating messages, Nudge gives you lots of options for automating aspects of your coaching workflow. But automation isn’t always the answer. So is it ever wise to just “set it and forget it” in Nudge?

This week, we look at the different ways to automate your programming in the Nudge platform and asking, “When can I just set it and forget it?” And when could that get me into trouble.

Set it and forget it?

Yes! But not so fast…

Let’s go through some of our favorite “set it and forget it” scenarios, their benefits, and how to avoid any traps that could be counter-productive in your client engagement efforts.

Set it and forget it Onboarding scenarios

Having a strong onboarding flow can strengthen any program and make life a lot easier for you as a coach. It also makes day one and week one of your user’s experience smooth and full of value from minute one.

There are many different ways you can configure this onboarding sequence. QR codes, linking from your website, or using a platform such as Typeform. The trap we want to avoid here is not confirming that all of our Invite IDs and links are up to date, so our clients and users are getting directed to the right place.

Set it and forget it Messaging scenarios

Scheduling messages allows you to check-in with clients on a special day or after a certain amount of time has passed without having to remember or mark your calendar.

You can also schedule a message to go out to an entire group or all of your clients.

The trick here is to come by general messages honestly. Clients can pick up on a templated message pretty quickly and that could result in them questioning the value of your program.

Let’s make it clear when we’re addressing a group of clients versus an individual. Your clients will appreciate it.

Another thing to consider is whether messaging is something you want to include at all. If you’re a Scale or White Label partner, you have the option of working with clients and users without the option of direct messaging. Whichever you choose, make sure your card content and calls to action are in sync with that.

Free Trial or Freemium program scenarios

Setting your White Label app to Freemium is the ultimate set it and forget it. This allows users to connect with you simply by creating an account in the app, no Invite ID needed.

In order to make this impactful, we want to make sure we’re nurturing leads by including educational Cards that show how impactful our full programs can be. And to make it an effective business strategy, make sure to include multiple calls-to-action (CTAs) within your Freemium or Free Trial program that highlight the clear benefits of upgrading to your paid programming or offerings.

With multiple, well-placed CTAs in place, you’ll start converting a higher percentage of users to our paid offerings, and do it all in one streamlined client experience in Nudge.
